Considering my daughter, who does enjoy watch prem matches with me, recently complained that I never show her any Women's soccer this event is about as timely as they come.
USA is ranked #1 and the Germans are defending their title and the only undefeated team in the qualifiers outscoring their opponents 35-1 (or there abouts).
I got to watch a bit of the Germany v Argentina match which was a bit like watching the German soccer channel on cable as it was all Germany all the time. Still, as someone who has paid a bit of attention to these things since they started in 1991 (right?) I have to say the womens game has come a long way and quite enjoyable. and not just US v Germany v Finland v China anymore. England has a bright squad and a bit of a dark horse along with a few other relative new comers to this level of the womens game. I guess their match with Japan was a real nail biter and then a flury of late goals only to end in a draw (hope it's on my DVR!).
Still, just a thread to follow along a bit. A couple of Everton women play for the Lady Lions so some bonus interest for us Evertonians.
Oh, and one more thing, Chico... I don't think we should us GASH in this thread! Brings me back to it's older meaning if you know what I mean.
