Another perhaps slightly less well known Everton book I read aaaaages ago but remember really enjoying is 'What's Our Name? Everton!' by Mark O'Brien.
Essentially a diary kept by a fan during the 03/04 season.
The book description on amazon:
There are no cup finals or title bids here, no Russian billionaires or astronomical signings either, but for the vast majority of football supporters that’s not what a season is all about. It’s about getting beat in London and then finding your car’s been clamped, it’s about putting on a ridiculous Brummie accent to try and buy a ticket for St. Andrews, it’s about getting legged by pensioners in Thirsk, and most of all it’s about frustrations, false dawns and endless straw clutching.
That makes it sound a bit grim, but it's a very easy read, light-hearted, and very funny at some points!
