Player Valuation: £35m
FIFA has received a total of 11 formal expressions of interest to bid for the 2018 and/or the 2022 FIFA World Cups by the established deadline of 2 February 2009. The member associations that have confirmed their interest in hosting FIFA's flagship competition are, in alphabetical order: Australia, Belgium and the Netherlands, England, Indonesia, Japan, Korea Republic, Mexico, Qatar, Russia, Spain and Portugal, and the USA.

Footballs coming home, its coming home, footballs coming home.

2018 Gossie will be in his prime, prowling that England RM, with Rodders playing alongside him in the CM. Jose up front and Sir Phillip Neville Manager.

Thought they wanted to rotate it around the continents.

2002 : Asia
2006 : Europe
2010 : Africa
2014 : South America (Brazil)
2018 : ?...

Surely it's back to North America - Mexico / USA (too recent maybe?), or if they don't have the right infrastructure in place, back to Asia?...

Can see either Australia or a Middle Eastern bid getting the nod.

My money's on the World Cup going down under, brilliant stadia, transport and track record of hosting major events - Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Rugby WCs (both formats) etc... Barely any money would need to be spent and it's a corner of the World that's never hosted the event before.

Group A & B games to be played at Prenton Park, 70,000 capacity home of the English Premier Laague champions and the recently expanded TESCOdome, 132,000 capacity home of the Champions of the European Super League.
