Wyness: ''My Phone Will Be On Until Midnight''

After being questioned on speculation linking Juan Roman Riquelme and Stephen Appiah to Goodison Park, Chief Executive Keith Wyness has hinted fans may see another arrival at Goodison before tonights transfer deadline.

When asked at the UEFA Cup draw in Monaco on the Riquelme speculation, Keith Wyness said: "We've been linked with a lot of names, of course and my phone will be on until midnight tonight and we'll see what transpires"

Then asked on Stephen Appiah, Wyness said similar: "We've been linked with about 20 players today but my phone will be on until midnight tonight and we'll see what develops "

After signing Thomas Gravesen on a season-long loan, Everton manager David Moyes also admitted he is looking to bring another player in before tonights deadline.

Moyes: "I am hoping to do more business before the window closes - maybe one more."

Almost a master class on how to say nothing at all in as few words as possible about such an important subject!

The quote is from Sky Sports News in an interview after the UEFA Cup draw.

I have an audio clip on my phone which I could upload if people do not believe.
