Anichebe, Yakubu limp off
The duo of Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Victor Anichebe (pictured) did not complete Friday evening's training session as they both limped off before Berti Vogts called off the session.

Both players took part in the tactical training but soon after the players were divided into two sides, Anichebe walked off and sat on the sidelines watching his mates train while Yakubu followed suit later, applying ice to his thighs.

However, media coordinator of the Super Eagles, Idah Peterside told KICK OFF that what happened to both players was just routine and that there was no need for Nigerians to express any fears.

"For Anichebe, we will find out by Saturday morning. The doctors are looking at him and they will give the final verdict on whether he can play or not," Peterside said.

"On Yakubu Aiyegbeni's situation, it was simply a minor knock so there is nothing to fear about."

During the training session, the possible side featured Austin Ejide, Apam Onyekachi, Taye Taiwo, Richard Eromoigbe, Danny Shittu, Seyi Olofinjana, John Utaka, Nwankwo Kanu, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Onyekachi Okonkwo and Osaze Odemwingie.
