Tubes that's Lukaku, Gueye and Bolasie. Im noticing a pattern. What do they have in common?

Disgusting.

He's been good. £15m good. Not £30m good.

But then Gueye has been £60m good, so if we pay double Bolasies worth for Bolasie, but pay a seventh of what Gueye is worth, it balances out to say the least!
Seriously though, who makes one an authority on deciding how much a player is worth? Willing buyer willing seller. Get's a little bit silly when it seems like you're no longer just offering an opinion on a forum but trying to sound like you know more than those who are involved in such deals.

Why does his fee matter mate?

It doesnt matter if we paid 50m for him, as long as he comes in and does a job for the team, which hes done, he scares defenders, he gets decent crosses in and your mate Rom loves him, a happy Rom is the Rom we need, hes got his boys Kev and Yannick on the pitch so everything is good in the world.

So I ask you again, what difference does his fee make?

Because overpaying for one player means less money for others, unless you have an owner bankrolling you so that mistakes in the market don't matter. The "it's not our money anyway" argument is ridiculous - we're fans of the football club.

£30m on Bolasie means that we couldn't spend the £10m we overpaid on him elsewhere.

It's called opinion. Everyone has one.

You'd be hard pressed to find a single Evertonian, prior to us being linked to him and subsequently signing him, who would have said £30m for Bolasie is good business. People are lying if they say any different.

The willing buyer, willing seller argument is also stupid. MK Dons could be "willing" to pay 50p for Messi; that doesn't mean its' his valuation.

But if we didnt spend the 30 million on Bolasie then we wouldnt have Bolasie....

Yes, and we paid it, and it's my view that we paid beyond his value to bring in a signing that was available after missing out on other targets like Witsel.

Once we sold Stones, we had to have a signing to counter-balance the loss, and Bolasie was there if the fee was met. Just because we signed him for £30m doesn't mean he was comparatively worth £30m - it just means we were prepared to pay it at the time.

Let me put it this way - if the RS paid £30m for Bolasie, we'd be laughing at them. Again, anyone who says otherwise is obviously lying, because not one single person valued Bolasie at £30m prior to us signing him.
