I doubt that. Bolasie is like Forrest Gump. Great at running to no particular end

Whilst I understand the sceptism / cynicism...he is capable of great moments.

Take the goal for Burnley. Searing pace and a great finish.

You're Utd and 70 mins has gone. You're piling on the pressure to no avail.

With DCL on the pitch you can commit the maximum bodies forwards: everyone but Bailly and Rojo and risk the 2 on 2.

Against Bolasie i doubt they would have done that. Bolasie could have stayed wide thus stopping a full back focusing on attack.

I think to say Utd would dismiss what Bolasie can do would be unfair. He's a very dangerous player when he has space in front of him.

I seem to recall you complaining about Koeman not playing kids earlier in the season, but he has played them and now you're taking um-bridge that he's playing them

Interesting

When it comes to Bolasie, some people had in built bias against him from the start and will find any excuse to have a go at him to justify their previous stance
To be fair Michael, I think the caveat for youngsters is "play them if they are good enough" not "play them regardless", which is @davek 's point.

We have seen the difference in playing Davies over Cleverley, for example.
But that doesn't mean DCL is ready. Now, i'm not saying he isn't. I thought against Hull he was decent. But he has looked a bit undercooked in the big games he's played - Liverpool / Liverpool / Utd.

RK knows far better than me but I think DCL needs a bit more of the kid-glove treatment than say, Davies or Holgate.

I like Bolasie. Top assister before injury and easily worth a place in the Everton team. Paid over the odds for him but that's fairly irrevelant considering we are now quite flush.
Perfect in a counter attacking team and lets not forget he was just settling in.

Agree up to a point on the defensive side, we may have better stats but I think the team sitting deeper has more to do with it than any vast improvement in our actual defenders defending. Full backs still too easily got at, at times, and none of our centre-backs have been great. Only first season though, so lets see.

On Bolasie, I didn't want him and def not at that price but he is not a poor player. You are being way OTT. He is a proven effective Prem League player although maddeningly inconsistent and he does occasionally look like he is a top athlete thats just taken up football recently. Main problem with him being we already had inconsistent but decent attackers.

on Calvert Lewin, it's just dumb writing off players, especially young ones, so quickly. Another lets see on this.
The defence: despite the 'improvement' it needs gutting. I'd keep Coleman and throw the rest to the Championship or lower PL teams.

Bolasie: we played kick and run footy when he was in the team. Personally I dont want that back again. He's an expensive flop. Sorry to say that while hes still in recovery from injury, but there it is.

We are conceding less and scoring more.

You have also hammered Coleman, Baines, Jagielka and now Williams this season, whilst doing the same to the manager, so forgive me if something, somewhere doesn't add up.

A defence that you don't think is good enough, managed by a negative manager, that you seemingly don't think is good enough, that is outscoring last seasons version of us and conceding less.

The only one to escape your wrath is Mori. Wonder why that is.

Last season we scored 59 we are currently on 53 last season we conceded 55 we are currently on 34
We defend too deep to be a top team. That defence that you find to be a virtue is actually a vice if we want to see progress.

Baines, Jagielka, Williams at a minimum have to go. They hamper us incredibly.

This summer: gone, adios, vamoose, on yer bike.

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

Even if it was true (it isnt) then it doesnt explain how we've scored more goals than previous seasons.
It is true. We play deep and conservatively.

And our better scoring rate is largely down to Lukaku having a blistering season.

I think he is, at best, average.

He had been around the PL long enough for that opinion to be formed and nowt he did here suggested those whom hold that opinion of him were wrong IMO.

And in that Burnley game, their winning goal came about because he couldn't control the ball in our half and lunged in to foul the fellow whom took the ball off've him.

They scored as a result of that free kick.

To me, it is no coincidence that our midwinter revival coincided with his unfortunate injury.

Sorry guys, but that's the way I see it :(

I agree with the bottom two lines, but they've not been poor, time has caught up with them.
