I doubt this happens if there's an early deadline. It's a bargaining chip that every other league has over EPL teams.

Fly in Mina and his uncle on transfer deadline day. Make sure his medical takes as long as possible... then have Contract Dave do a vanishing act in the last hour of the window and leave them both and Barca in the lurch

You know if I said at the start of the summer that Yerry Mina’s uncle would be the biggest irritant of our transfer window, I would have got some blank looks.
