My only worry that might scupper this is if Palace dont get a replacement lined up they'll throw that old excuse out and keep him until atleast January in which by then we'll be out the cups and abar 10 points behind the top 6.

Had they signed Sarr or Chalov I would be more confident of them letting him leave think they will play this game til the end then say sorry would be willing to sell but we couldn't get his replacement in.

Watford were supposedly close to pulling out of a deal for Sarr around an hour or so ago over the fee, could be an opening for Palace

Yes we could still do a deal late (for any player). 'Normally' there'd be news by now of the player on the way for a medical or up to Finch Farm. Who knows though
