They have a few decent players, definitely. Pablo aimar? Same with RC lens in France. Dindane and Keita?

Metusalem, Brazilian organizing midfielder. Great first touch, slide rule passes.
Interesting alternative to Manny, depending on prices quoted.
Olivera. Was in the same Santos team as Robinho and Diego. Signed for Valencia but wasn't given time to adapt and they offloaded him to Real Betis. Top scored with 24 goals (league goals). second season not doing so well. Milan sign him in january window but injuries keep his appearances down. Signed for Zaragoza last summer. Top scorer 16 goals. [Poor language removed] off a shovel and a quality finisher.
Sergio Garcia. Another product of the Barcelona youth team. Second striker with more assisst than goal. Tricky and quick. He can also play wide right, has been included in the Spanish squad for the European Nations' cup.

Once, when Valencia was getting rid of Oliveira, Sporting had the chance to sign him. He was a Brazil national team regular at the time.

The price... 4.5M€.

The board decided the price tag was too expensive. And so, they went for a chilean player named Mauricio "Crappy" Pinilla and signed for half of his transfer rights for a fee of 2M€.

I said at the time to a buddy "WTF, getting a guy that spent last season in all the night clubs in Vigo for that money and letting a brazilian international go? I guess cheap will come expensive."

Well, 4 seasons later Oliveira still scores. And Pinilla, well I think he went for Scotland's Hearts and I've never heard of him as being a top class player.

I'm not able to foresee the future, however, some things are so evident...

[Poor language removed]' agents and dirty club directors!!!!!:@
