Every big US city I’ve visited has mad rough areas in downtown. New York not so bad due to enthusiastic policing I think. Got the bus from Santa Monica to downtown LA once and it was the wildest ride I’ve ever been on. Totally terrified me.

My wife has one of these. Wouldn’t say she’s particularly anti male or anything (although there is a lot of mistrust there due to a lifetime of dealing with perverts) Lads have it easy honestly.

Really like Chicago. Fairly wild as expected but had a good time there.

Pretty roasting in Lisbon still. Looks like it will be a fair bit cooler by the time you get here. I like the Algarve this time of year personally although would hire a car to get out the town a bit.
