2023/24 Jack Harrison

Zat he is miles better (29 G+A this season) McNeil is too one footed, and lacks a proper end product, constantly needing to do 360 degree turns all the time because he cant use both feet. I wouldn't spend on Gnonto or Asprilla tbh and I certainly wouldn't touch any Bunley player.

29 goals and assists, McNeil will never get that in any season in any league. Summerville just has a better skillset than McNeil and he has pace. Gnonto and Summerville are younger than McNeil and both played in the PL last time Leeds were up. I like Dwight but ultimately he ain't good enough to be a wide player at this level, I agree with others about trying him in the middle and see how he does, Sean Dyche suggesting he should be around the England squad is laughable.

Again, im not sure you can say hes "better". Theyre different players as i said. All depends on how theyre being used and the team theyre in doesnt it?

I remember my Adam Wharton shouts and I think Asprilla & Gnonto along with Odobert and Iling Junior could all look effective in our team.

I think I wrote in my 1st post you replied to about McNeil playing centrally. If he has a free role with two quick players either side i think our counter attacks will be a different ball game.

Obviously we need players on both sides and if the funds were there would you as an example, sign Summerville with another Harrison loan rather than signing 2 wide players?

Iling Junior is the only player I would sign, I don't want Asprilla, Gnonto, or Odobert.

As for McNeil vs Summerville in terms of playing wide left, one is more productive than the other because he is naturally better in that position due to having pace. He needs to play in the middle I agree but getting Dyche to drop the tragic Doucoure is not going to be easy.

If we can loan him again I’d keep him given that funds will be incredibly tight in the summer.

However if we need to pay a decent fee for him which I imagine we will, I’d say thanks and goodbye. It will have been fairly successful loan I’d say.

We’re definitely better with him in the team but I don’t think I’ve seen a player run into as many blind alleys as he does.

The blind alley bit is spot on, although tbh that is often because he has no one from full back or centre mid supporting. He is very easy to nullify especially given his lack of pace.
Another season long loan wouldn't be the end of the world, given where we are, but if we are to kick on we need to be buying better imo.

He's a very busy player without actually doing anything.
He looks scared to try and take a man on.

I don't think he's scared to, I think he simply cant. It's like he cant process his decision making quick enough and then just runs into a player.

He was superb defensively 2nd half yesterday but therein lies the problem, the best things he does are all defensive and not offensive.

I think we should name his position as a 'Full back protector' because he certainly isnt a winger.

I don't know who or where from or how much but we need 2 new wingers and 2 new full backs this summer. They're an absolute priory position.

Being defensive minded then wouldn't be so bad if we could counter at pace and in numbers. Mcneil would then be an option centrally with his remit to simply shoot on sight when he's between the posts.

I can't see Coleman being offered another deal as he's been too injury prone now for a couple of seasons. Patterson I don't think will be given a run under Dyche, so rb a priority. Need a left back to either replace or push Mykokenko. I think Young will be offered another 1 year deal.

We 100% need 2 new wingers and hope Stanley Mills is fit enough this pre season to show what he's capable of and see if Dobbin can also kick on.

This is what I hate, too many headless chicken runs

I'll be really disappointed if he leaves this summer. Hopefully Leeds don't get back up.

Playing in front of Patterson, Young and a deteriorating Coleman each week must have been a nightmare. But he's acquitted himself very well. Next season if here he'll be much more of an asset in attack when Coleman finally gets his successor.

Has he ever played in front of Patterson? Genuinely?
