This is getting silly lads.

Can we agree to disagree?

McCarthy had an OK debut, that we can all agree on I'm sure. No-one's saying he's a world beater on today's evidence alone so let's cool it, yeah?

Ok, let's all put our peepee's back in our pocket and think about what we're going to do to 'der Hammers...they're f'ing getting it, nice and proper.

Feel this is all a little unfair on McCarthy. He's at a new club, has played 25 minutes on his debut, in a frenetic game against a team that might wind up being champions.

It's not as if he's played 90 minutes in a home game against a newly promoted team or something, and you can truly get a first impression/judgement on him.

Saying you're not impressed after a 25 minute sub appearance is pretty harsh. Give him a few games at least before being so ultra critical.

No, this is unnecessarily argumentative on all parts.

No need.

I wrote two things that McCarthy actually did on the pitch today, nobody could dispute that it actually happened, and because it didn't fit in with the general optimism of a new signing then the "gang" decided to have a pop.

Still waiting for someone to point out an instance McCarthy did something well, which is what I'd have liked to see as a discussion instead of 50 variations on "Tubey is a prick".

He moved well for the ball from what I saw, made himself available to his team, kept it relatively simple, albeit didn't split their defence much. Pressed a couple of Chelsea's players without the ball.

Wouldn't go that far but on a related topic, good subs by Martinez.

It's been a while since we've seen good subs.

This all over grouch. Every time the game looked to be getting away from us a little bit he changed the game and tipped the balance back in our favour. Not as simple as it sounds with Mourinho in the other dugout.

Loving Bobs work so far.
