Same here, though once it was clear early on that Martinez rated him I watched him closely. I think he will do well if we sign him. Would give us a very mobile midfield 3 in McCarthy, Besic and Barkley with the superb Barry and Gibson to rotate depending on gameplan.

He has joined them. Gera isnt really the same kind of player as Besic appears to be tho. This one is going to run on a bit I reckon !

Who is to say that the deal isn't finalised but we are waiting for the right moment to announce it. Today is all about the Ratboy and yesterday was Arsenal signing Sanchez. Perhaps announce him with any Lukaku announcement one way or the other.
