This was the biggest joke ever, game should’ve just been stopped at half time. We would’ve got more benefit out of a training session.

At the end of the day, most important part of this pre-season is getting everyone as sharp and fit as possible. Would be nice to play bigger sides for more of a challenge but I'm more interested in our conditioning.

In recent years we have been all over the world.... what has that done for us ?

First get your team sorted and then chase the commercial deals.

Not as many foreign fans or companies want to be associated with perennial premiership strugglers as you might think.

So what is the point of the Tranmere game? Just an excuse to give our U23s a run out against a team of men?

Imagine its to give a good portion of mintues to many players, rahter than having shoe-horn subs in. It's not a bad thing, but irritating as you'll have to choose which one.

Just thinking not sure we'd have the squad big enough to warrant it yet?

However it may they're expecting to have a few new in the door, or that Dyche wants to see a good chunk of returning players (Gomes, Alli, Branthwaite) as well as new players, young players (cannon, mills ?) and current squad.

Brand is not only about performance but also about perception...football is global nowadays and if you want to be a successful club you have to build on your global brand. Yes team is a factor, and having players of particular countries helps, but it doesn't start only when the team is sorted out...it works in parallel
