Would have won the League in 1977/78 had we signed him. If I remember correctly, he kept a number of clean sheets to get Forest over the line in the final stages of the season.

Yes -Lawaon was a liability. Plus much heaper for the fee for Shilton if I recall

It's Scunthorpe against Tranmere I think, Fa cup replay, not sure why Goodison was used. That's a certain Kevin Keegan who maybe we could have signed but Liverpool stepped in and the rest is history !

One evening about 6pm as we were on our way home and we went down Goodison Rd past the fancy blue marble doors about 6pm (not long after he signed maybe a day or two?) I saw him looking under the Bonnet of an Austin A40 in a bemused manner
