Understandable how Burnley and Sheffield United might have tried to pray for survival without spending, but accepting they would likely go down and the parachute payments would fund their clubs for a few years. Fair enough. But bloody awful for their fans. The lure of playing in the glorious PL sounds great, but they must have had a much better time last year. All that desperation then joy to get promoted just to get smacked about every week. We aren’t having any fun either obviously, god knows what would happen if we dropped. But the prize for promotion is either gambling the clubs financial future on survival by spending money you don’t have, or just closing your eyes and wait to drop back into the warmth of the Championship.
Burnley spent like 100 or so million.

Sheff utd sold there best two players not sure if financially they had to but soul destroying watching this

was a good point n tha 🙄
It was considering we hadnt won. Gets quite tedious when a team gets beat, that we have many go on about whichever game during the seaosn it was we didnt win. That sheff utd game was another game that could have been different if Lewin made it 3-1. But thats in the past
