Said the same a lot over the last year or so. When we sack Dyche, it would be Moyes/Southgate standard. Even shared our shortlists in the past. We didn't end up with Lampard or Dyche by accident - it was because very few were lining up.

None of that excuses Moyes being here beyond the summer. I don't care how he does over the next 4 months.

But we should be a different proposition all together in the summer.

We need to be looking at better than David Moyes.
So if he goes and wins 10 games let’s say and comfortably keeps us up you would still want him sacked? And then go and hire another manager from where?

Davie Weir might be a better choice, given how they have built up Brighton behind the scenes.

Turned us down about 18-months aho and signed a 5-year deal with Brighton didn't he?

Think he's now their technical director.

I'm staunchly against jobs for the boys. But Weir isn't on this list for me, went out, cut his teeth, earned his say and flourishing. Fair play to him.

Not buying this, we are in the situation so Moyes is the only option. Bournemouth were crap and hired their current manager. Brighton were a nothing club when they brought in Potter. Brentford weren't even in the prem with Thomas Frank. It's just looking at the same pool of poor managers over and over again with zero imagination of looking for a manager with an actual game plan and philosophy to develop and move the club forward.

I'd have turned us down 18 months ago. Moshiri didn't have a Scooby
