I've never seen a team needing a number 10 or some creativity more. Just something. We're so one dimensional I'm amazed several of the players don't fall through the gaps between the floorboards in the dressing room.

Branthwaite was garbo tonight..........responsible for there goal and almost another goal.

Think Moyes will have learnt a lot from tonight though. Another defeat, another goaless game for us but dare I say we seemed to have a go.

Moyes will quickly realise that Dom is not really that good and not worth 120-130k per week
Dreadful from Branthwaite. Cost us a point in reality.

You mean how we only allowed a goal because of one missed pass in midfield? Or that we had one cleared off the line? Or that DCL should have scored? 8 corners, 3 shots on goal, 2 blocked right at the goal, 50% possession.

If you don't see the positives you either haven't watched our last 20 matches, or you just aren't positive.
Kind of agree but it was incredibly frustrating. I think it felt a little more positive and there was slightly more attacking intent but we are truely gash.
Dyche tried to press in his early days but realised we were absolute turd and had no money to spend so went backs to wall defensive. He would likely have got a nill nill draw and a point out of this game. Moyes tried to be a little more positive, but he will get more and more defensive again with this squad unless there is quality investment.

Villa are solid but they didn't have to do much there tonight. The goal was a gift.
Definitely an improvement in attitude and field position but we're massively lacking in quality.
DCL can go on gardening leave.
Moyes knows now what a mess he's in.

I think that performance wins us more matches against the teams we should be beating. But having said that you'll beat absolutely no one without a goal scorer.

More shots on target, more possession. Different systems, in-game tactical changes.

Not difficult to jump from 0 to 3 (only one o target being substantial).

Possession as Villa allowed us the ball.

Was surprised with the 3 at the back which he may want to use.

But fundamentally...he's not getting that forward line suddenly changing into Ronaldo, Rooney, and Tevez

Agree with this 100%, he offers nothing now, we should stop pretending that he’s good after that one fluke Ancellotti season
Moyes had Duncan Ferguson scoring on his debut. His number 9 is Dom now. Rocking that shirt for a generation.

We are in a worse state than when he first took over.

I think It looked like the players had been shown how to try and do a goal, which is slightly better.

Players are crap though, full backs, wingers (Not N’diaye), strikers, all crap and wouldn’t get anywhere near any team apart from maybe Southampton.

Don't get me wrong - it was maybe a tad better from a tactical perspective, but it just boldly highlighted the same problems yet again.
