Funnily enough I`ve been playing the Boy album in the car this week.

I`d forgotten how good it was and how good they were.

The problem is that they became overshadowed by how much of a bellend Bono became / was and that switched so many people off them ( including me )
 
The Paul Simon Songbook recorded in 1965 and still sounds pristine and magnificent on vinyl

It's solo Paul playing acoustic versions of the songs that would become huge hits when recorded with Garfunkel.

Brilliant and beautiful album. The Simple Desultory Philippic , a piss take of his hero Bob Dylan is a joy

I try to make a point of doing a dive into a big band that I'm not fully aware of every now and then, did The Jam last time who are my dad's favourite band. (Bit meh for me)

So just went through the first 3 U2 albums today, and like I said in the other post I hear so much of The Smiths in the music but I suppose that makes sense because The Edge is doing what Marr does where he sort of floats above the rhythm section doing his own thing.
