The 'still alive' thread.

Everything is great, thanks for asking, just busy trying to plant up a new garden whilst we still have rain.

Hope everything is good with you x

Everything's as good as can be, thanks. I go in Wednesday for a biopsy on my thyroid. Doctor suspects it's nothing big. Something benign. Once that's done I'll finally go on the transplant list. Mayo clinic's been working me over with a fine-tooth comb. They just want to make sure that there's nothing existing that they don't know about because you go on so many immune suppressants when you have a transplant.

Lauren planted some peas which are going nuts and also the tomato plant is going crazy too in our garden but I don't care much for their flavour/texture and neither does she, they're big buggers though. Oh well, we'll try a different variety this fall.

Happy harvesting, you have a climate much more conducive to growing things than here. We started way back in October and will shut down probably about mid April apart from peppers. x

Will cross my fingers for good results on Wednesday and that you finally get on the transplant list x

My Aunty. Been sorting the family tree and was having real trouble finding her death certificate. She'd moved to Devon decades ago and went by her middle name so I was checking for both first name and middle name and Devon and Liverpool. Nothing.
Mentioned it to my brother the other day and she's in a nursing home in Liverpool, still kicking and in her 90s

Did you know that her 1967 No.1 hit 'This is my song' was written by Charlie Chaplin.

….i didn’t but i did know Chaplin wrote this beautiful song.

Also, a bit of local trivia about Charlie Chaplin. As a child he performed for a season at Henglers Circus (junction of Everton Rd/West Derby Rd, later became the Hippodrome Cinema). Whilst there he attended SFX school in Salisbury St and said it was the happiest time of his childhood.
