Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Injuries are the main reason we shouldn't but, as I've said a few times, I'm with Goat here - I can easily see it happening based on Moyes's numerous pursuits of him in the past. I like him as a player in the bits we've seen and what he's showed when he's had PL minutes in the past, but you can't be buying a player with an injury record like his IMO. It's another reason why even if DCL wanted to stay at this point, I'd rather we went our separate ways.
Loan with option again at most, you would hope

Just think problem is dont think would come to wel be 4th choice and sit on bench. I do feel would be good and future planning

That would be the same Doucoure we’ve just told we are not renewing, but he can stay if he wants a huge pay cut?
I’m sure he has only positives to say about this experience with the club.
The same lid we've paid millions and bar a short spell under lampard has been first choice when fit for the length of his time here?

I can see why Moyes might have had an interest in him in the past, we have also. However, there does come a point where its clear this lad cant stay fit. Even when he had has spells of staying fit, his goal record is very poor. I agree with you that this lad isnt the answer for us. Especially not at the price that Chelsea value him.

Agree just would not surprise if moyes did keep him as 4 th choice even if was another year. I have never really had a problem with him trains well and never makes trouble like a certain rat in france. Has had good moments just lets himself down with his mentality that makes him make mistakes. If he goes will wish him. The best in the future whatever he does
For the love of God, it's time for Keane to leave

Eh, Garner should be in there too.

That's my standard bearer list, we need similar quality or players who could develop to reach that quality in any rebuild.

I like Garner, but hes not at the quality of the players ive listed, therefore hes negotiable IMO.

I think we need to move to a place were we can be ok moving on from good players the likes McNeill and Garner and possibly get better players.

In doing that often ruthless decisions have to be made.

I can see the logic. But in the last 5 years we've effectively paid him a total of 25 million pounds to make us lose matches. We'd have as good chance winning matches playing with 10 and saving that money than having him in the team
