TV Series

2nd season of foundation done, despite being a devotee of the books I really enjoyed it. You expect the boy Harris to be on his game but Lee Pace is incredible.
He’s a total smug buffoon. Not read the books but really enjoyed the twist at the end.

One thing that lets it down for me is I don’t have much love for the main character.

In the books he's the genesis of the idea and then appears as a hologram a few times but that's it really, I don't mind the changes to be honest, as stated it would be tough in a tv media to be loyal to the books.

As an aside I rewatched unforgiven on a flight today, his arl fella is probably about the same age as he is now in that movie, sound incredibly similar

Has anyone watched all of Adolescence? I've seen a number of people saying that the first episode is brilliant but that it falls off a cliff after that.
Yes, I have watched them all. Agree the first episode was great and I thought it was the best episode. Episode two was a bit meh. Episode three was enjoyable and good to watch. I found the last episode to be a bit boring and an anti-climax.

If you enjoy the first episode, it is probably worth continuing with the rest.

They'll do well to top the goings on in the states and the situation in Europe

Every single day in Trump and Musk land is like a different episode of Black Mirror.

The frightening thing is that there`s the best part of four years worth of material to go yet.

Yeah can't really out-satire this present reality

Just finished all five series of The Bureau ( as recommended time and time again by @Zatara )

It really is the best spy series ever done for television.

No CGI, no car chases, no stupid romances, just superbly written and acted plots.

Follows the agents of the French DGSE ( security service ) as they go up against ISIS, Iran and the Russian FSB.

It may be in subtitles, it may be achingly slow at times, as the various plots slowly build, but it’s captivating television.

If this was done by the likes of HBO, it’d have won everything.
