2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

He hasn’t had a great season to date for various reasons. Head down, roll up sleeves, and look forward to the new worldy team-mates Spitfire Dan will surround him with in the Royal Blue River Fortress in August.

How hasn't he had a great season. I'm not fanboying over him but given the circumstances he's been decent. Struggle to see on what level he's not been good. Happy to be corrected

Well he missed a pile of it through injury and has taken a while to get back to the pace of it and his previous standards.

Along with Pickford, our only proper players. But he’s better than he has so-far shown. Unsellable in my book.

I think he's done well. And agree should be a lynch pin of the future team but we know how this story goes. Hopefully goes to Madrid if anywhere.

He's will play in that squad. He won't play in the senior squad, I think it's as simple as that.
Not sure how beneficial it is for him to play for the u21...its a bit of a joke really. He is starting every single game in the pl and has been for the last 18 months. I would push back if I was him, but not sure if he is allowed to say to England no thank you.

Branthwaite phones Carsley:

“Ram it up your a***, baldy!”

What?

He does what I like a defender to do.

You're entitled to your opinion. Unfortunately the England manager doesn't rate him as highly as you do, and the only club interested in buying him so far is a Manchester United side who are in dire financial straits and languishing in the bottom half of the league, so I don't think it's a hugely controversial opinion to say I think he's a good player but overhyped at the moment.

I expected better from Tuchel than Quansah over Branthwaite tbf

Quansah has not only been a bit part player he's also fallen to bits a few times when he has played.
Very strange decision unless he was thinking cover at RB but I would expect Tuchel to play 3 atb with attacking WBs

I think it’s as simple as the English football media is absolutely RS - centric, think of anything you watch - there is one banging on about them, same in the print media, same from their internal comms and they all back each other up.

It’s massively influential, they are going to win the league in pens - because of Coote, make no mistake about the lobby is influential and I think institutions fear them.

Here we have a New England manager wanting to keep the right side of the media, does he pick the Everton lad or the lad who plays from the club who is represented by he above lobby.

It’s that simple for me.
