Should be used as inspiration for any aspiring board and team.

Doubt Newcastle fans are thinking about what Everton fans think right now.

Inspiration to do what?

They’re the richest football club in the history of the game.

They’ve sold their soul to become a geopolitical billboard.

They can celebrate now all they want, but eventually their club will be lost so is it really worth it?

I know man city fans who don’t go the game anymore because of how soulless they’ve become.

Same will happen at newcastle.

Dont like both clubs so dont really care what the result was, good thing is hooefully more money from the gordon deal because a trophy. Has not changed anything yesterday with my targets for this everton team is still winning us a trophy and get us back up the table. Yesterday showed you can do it

Unless there are major changes to the way PSR and the way Liverpool, Man United run the game alongside Richard Masters i wouldn't worry too much about Newcastle becoming the biggest club in World football. Jesus the anxiety on show here is rediculous, they have won the Caribou cup and not done a league and Champions league double. Well done Newcastle on taking another part of Liverpool's annual quad off them, now let's some of you come off you're meds and the rest of us can move on. :locked:

Only because they would have fiddled it to make it look like there was no Saudi involvement.

Even so, the premier league should not have approved it, you’re right, but there’s nothing to be celebrated here.

Chelsea, city and now Newcastle. That’s the real death of the game.

Probably.

I despise Newcastle, for what it's worth, a really loathsome fanbase who are more fickle than any others.

But The PL have bent over backwards for anyone flashing their lashes, in hope of remaining the #1 League.

The irony being, I've not seen so many locals (for all teams) because so disengaged with what it's became.

A Tourist Trap for Overseas fans, where locals aren't welcome.

Completely went off on a tangent, but Elite Football in England may have the money but for me Chelsea, City and to a lesser extent United and Liverpool have destroyed English football. Only time will tell if Newcastle add a further nail in the coffin.

They're a good example of how you have to get the football side of things right, you have to pick the right manager and the overall footballing structure needs to be set up to identify the right players.

As they learnt from us on what not to do, we now need to learn from them about what TO do. We'll have one shot at spending money again, and we need to make sure every "big" signing has a Guimaraes or Isak level of impact if we want to have a hope of going anywhere near the ambitions of the fans and the club as a whole. We also need to make sure that the cheaper signings are shrewd like Tripper was and can make a big impact even if it's only relatively short term.

We've seen what happens when you throw money around randomly without the proper structure in place to make sure the players coming in are what we need.

Howe was also available in summer 2021 after Carlo went. He should've been seriously considered that summer as I'm sure amongst the turmoil he would've still done a far better job than any of the three who came in, similar to what Moyes is achieving now.

Didn't he say years back he was an Everton fan despite growing up just outside London? Not sure if that was family thing or he was just seduced by the great 80s Kendall team but I'm sure he'd have ditched Celtic interest to come here.

One of the criticisms of his time at Bournemouth is they were too open and conceded too much and he's shown at Newcastle he can organise team to compete at top level.

Winning yesterday I think pretty much guarantees he'll be the next England manager after Tuchel so this is all a moot point but need to find that type of manager post Moyes which may be sooner than we think.

He had a shocker of a start at Newcastle iirc.
Would we have put up with that?
He's had money, more than we had.

I think he won once in his first five then they flew up the league, maybe it was longer than that.

In summer 2021 he'd still have inherited a less injured DCL, Richi, Digne, Allan and Gordon was on the fringes so there was still a solid core compared to how bad the squad was looking when Dyche came in.

No idea if he was ever interviewed or seriously considered but Moshiri being hell bent on appointing FSW seriously damaged morale with the fanbase and that season was just a ticking timebomb and it ignited after losing 5-2 to Watford.

Agree with this, growing up in north Cumbria in the 90s and Newcastle not too far away resulted in tonnes and tonnes of glory hunters so I've enjoyed them not winning anything, 30 years so can't complain too much !

If Salah leaves, I wouldn't be expecting any kind of quadruple talk in future years either.

Nah we said that when Rush left, Fowler left, Owen left, Torres left and Suarez left. Their scouting team especially for strikers is World class, yeah they've made mistakes but not many but they have the money to make them mistakes and always find more. They always seem to land on their feet. Already Carraghers been on whinging they have no strikers, they are the top scorers in the league...they wil lash loads of money on a new striker.
