He had a shocker of a start at Newcastle iirc.
Would we have put up with that?
He's had money, more than we had.
They weren’t as good a team when some of those strikers played, and also they are a lot more one man dependant now with Salah in my opinion then they ever were with those. Look at what has happened since Salah has dropped in form a little, knocked out of CL and beaten in Cup final. You are correct, they do recruit and replace well…..just not sure they are ever going to have as potential an attacking force as what Salah, Mane, and Firminho was.Nah we said that when Rush left, Fowler left, Owen left, Torres left and Suarez left. Their scouting team especially for strikers is World class, yeah they've made mistakes but not many but they have the money to make them mistakes and always find more. They always seem to land on their feet. Already Carraghers been on whinging they have no strikers, they are the top scorers in the league...they wil lash loads of money on a new striker.

Great to see to be honest, that’s what football should be about, bit of Romance.
*Allbeit owned by a petro state.
Yes the biggest slice of luck for them this year has been City dropping like a rockOh I agree with most of that, but also I feel this team and the supposed football they play is vastly overstated. The only reason they are top of the league is because the standard of the top 4/ 6 has dropped like a stone.
I spent 20 years living up there and didn't know a single person that cared about Everton. They tried to manufacture a rivalry with Liverpool but I think that was more to do with the 4-3 defeats in the Keegan years. Most of them couldn't care less about Everton either. But there will be a small number of Evertonians poring through Barcode social media looking for any reference to Everton from any account and then magnifying and redefining it as all of them being obsessed.
Every club has their supporters who for some reason need to make out that their club is somehow in the minds of everyone else. It's very weird.
For example - the Everton specific forum now has this very specific thread about Newcastle winning a game against the RS. A story that in and of itself has absolutely nothing to do with Everton. I'm not sure, though I could be wrong, that there are many Newcastle forums with a thread dedicated to Everton.
What seems more fixated there?
Chelsea? Getting pumped with money that was subsequently withdrawn due to links to the Kremlin before being bought out by an American billionaire who already owns a sports team?Only because they would have fiddled it to make it look like there was no Saudi involvement.
Even so, the premier league should not have approved it, you’re right, but there’s nothing to be celebrated here.
Chelsea, city and now Newcastle. That’s the real death of the game.
