New Everton Stadium

This place is sounding like Studio 54. There's the stink of elitism emerging here.

Is that going to be the same on a normal match day with 55,000 people in attendance...imagine trying to sustain that when it's pissing down with rain and thousands of people are streaming through gates.
Bloody hell Dave have a day off. It's still technically a building site & they are trying to get the safety certificates so impatient numpties like you will eventually be able to wander free. Maybe use your brain before claiming the stench of elitism is emanating there.

What’s the latest on a naming rights deal? Can’t remember reading anything for a bit

Edit: Googled it and the top article was from that awful Everton news clickbait site

They’ve done a full article on Al Myers tweeting “heard nothing yet”🤣🤣🤣

Elsewhere on the website it says you can't take food and drink in . A lot of people at Goodison take a sandwich and flask . I wonder how far they will enforce this ? They can't search 25,000 fans let alone 53,000,
I can honestly say having sat in every part of the ground in the last 50 years i have never seen anyone with sandwiches and a flask.
Maybe a little hip flask to have a little snifter, that's about it

I think the flask and sandwiches is an upper bullens thing, at least it was back in the 70s when I first started going.

Seen it in a few stands myself over the years. Recently I've seen full chippy meals being brought in, and others bringing mini buffets to share as well.

Sounds like they want to squeeze every last penny. Good luck trying to stop so many people.

I don't do it myself but I can assure you plenty do and not all old codgers. Someone who used to sit in front of me used to come in last minute with fish and chips. Anyway it looks as if that will be stopped as happens at many events now. The caterers probably insist on being the sole provider. As for hip flasks I have been known to carry a miniature whisky for medicinal purposes

I saw a tweet from Paddy Boyland in response to a request for an update. It was last week. He said it was in process or words to that effect.

I thought we might hear something imminently but I would imagine now it will not be until the summer and after the new CEO is in place.

I don't think it's a given that they will go ahead though I hope they do. We're not in a position to delay extra revenue.

You’d think whoever’s sponsoring the stadium’d want it in place by the end of the season

No one will be talking about the stadium (and therefore the saying name of their company) more than in the build up to and at the start of the 24/25 stadium

My mum used to give me a flask to take to the game when i was a kid if it was really cold,I remember a night game v Leeds I was pouring a cup of coffee out of the flask,we scored I jumped out of the seat and spilt the entire contents over my young gonads😳,what concerned me most was it went all over my programme!!!had that coffee stained programme for years, but thankfully my gonads outlasted it😉😂😂😂think we won 5-1 that night, maybe this post belongs in the great Goodison memories thread😉😂😂😂
