Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

There's some good young players in the Belgian league. Apparently Wolfsburg are like Lyon, in severe financial trouble. Let's use that to our advantage. Some decent players at both clubs like Wind, Wimmer, Svanberg, Maehle & the already mention Lyon lads...
I'm already looking forward to the songs- Christmas special for the Reindeer lad. Wind beneath my wingers, The Wimmer takes it all

Just to counter the 'he will have better offers elsewhere' shouts whenever a good player is mentioned: there is a finite amount of 'better offers' available, and each club will have their own priorities and their own budget that are unique to them. Take the right wing position for example, people will say the likes of Cherki, Semenyo, and Mbuemo will all 'have better options elsewhere', but these better options may need to prioritise different positions, they may have their own financial issues, and no club is going to buy all three of them at the same time. My point being that it's not impossible that we are one of the 'better offers', and I don't agree that we are unable to compete for these type of players.

That would be some front 3. Cherki is an amazing talent.

Cherki would be amazing. I've been mentioning him for a while.

Mikautadze strangely is in/out of the 11 but scores goals. Nuamah...not for me.

Cherki though :o

Jonathan David has been linked all over for 3 seasons...now on a free this summer.

Just shows that sometimes there isnt the expected demand from teams.

Delap
Wharton
Branthwaite
Pickford

That would make me watch England internationals...

If these yanks have the $ then Delap and Wharton would be nice...

Add in a couple more signings and 4 loan deals and i'd be a happy Zat ;)

Ancelotti is one of the if not the most successful manager in the world and he's not known for that.
And that shows the difference between being a ‘Hard’ manager putting your players through hell to prepare them while they moan, and a someone with top man-management skills, who the players will happily do the same amount of work for because they want to.

Everything is less fun with some balloon screaming mindless obscenities at you, whereas you get more out of the players if it’s a positive experience for them.

We'll be an attractive proposition to a lot of players. Particularly if the Friedkins put their hand in their pocket. Also, next year will be a world cup year so a lot of players will be looking for clubs where they are likely to get minutes.

Also we don't have insane amounts obviously but we are able to pay 60-80k, which is likely more than nearly all teams in Europe that aren't obviously moneyed up. Most of the Wolfbsurg/Lyon team (as they are brought up due to financial difficulties) are unlikely to be on more than 30-50k imho, and with the WC year being up... I dunno, it could lead to some potential lower-than-expected transfers.

Championship players.

Jst Pascal Struijk & Brendan Aaronson regens

Don't need him when Harrison Armstrong comes back in the summer

CM at the moment is:

Gana Out of contract but likely extension
Garner 1 year + 1 year option (i think)
Iroegbunam 2 years
Armstrong 3 years

ACM of course

Alcaraz on loan
Doucoure out of contract
McNeil 2 years

I think we could do with a top notch young central midfielder.
