Sandhills station

I think the crowd should eventually get close to capacity with more test games and they will know roughly how chronically bad it is.

But like a few are saying it’s not a new problem and I’m not ignoring the comically bad oversight on not even bothering to prepare Sandhills for capacity but as we know I bet the council have had their hands tied for money until the ground and special investigation was completed.
That excuse that Rotheram put out for them about no one knowing if the stadium would be built is utter horse 💩.

They've had at least 5 years to get their heads round the REALITY of that stadium flying up.

No excuses for them mate. None.

Only immediate solutions I can see are: lift the parking restrictions as far as possible and have the club try every incentive possible to keep fans hanging round at game's end (very difficult on a night match I know)

Blood hell that shocking.
Imagine that nearly 3 times?
Imagine crowd trouble,
Imagine snow, ice, and hurricane winds off the Irish sea,
Imagine someone keels over with a suspected heart attack,
Imagine a fire somewhere near,

It's like it's been designed to be as dangerous as possible.

We shouldn't be looking down the barrel of injury or worse before concerns are addressed.

Compared to Goodison you have half the number of directions to get in and out from, so the transportation system had to be 💩-hot from the get go. But the council allowed the P.A. to get the green light with zero assurances about the type of fundamental upgrades required to address all the eventualities you noted.

This is shaping up to be one of the worst local authority decisions there's ever been.

Can there even be a third test event in the near term?

Something approaching a full house looks very very iffy to me on the basis of that evidence today.

Either they completely tear up the parking rules they have or it'll be utter bedlam down there.

Sandhills is obviously a mess but what also doesn’t help is the lack of service between hunts cross and central - could be wrong but my understanding is that the platform is too short at cressington to accommodate anything other than a 4 carriage train and these new merseyrail electric trains don’t allow you to keep certain carriage doors closed hence the constant overcrowding on trains from south liverpool / lack of service between central and hunts cross
