Right quick Steve....just point at the telly like you know what you're talking about.
The school run is almost entirely about squeezing past women in dry robes these days.Saw a couple like that, just assumed they'd got to the ground on their paddle board ...![]()
Hells a dryrobe? The school run is almost entirely about squeezing past women in dry robes these days.
It’s designed for open water swimmers, I think. Basically halfway between a bathrobe and a coat.Hells a dryrobe?
I was in the south stand on the first event and it was rammed at half time. Was in the west stand today and a fair amount of space although probably due to less fans. Even with larger Concourses than goodison it will be interesting to see how each stand copes at full capacity.Just got back from the test event. Stadium is absolutely stunning from outside. The plaza is amazing and will be even better when they finish Everton Way etc. There wasn't a bad seat in the house and you could already hear how the noise will be locked into the stadium. The sound system is so loud as well. The food choices were great and the queues went down fairly quickly. My only gripe would be the concourse on the lower south and west isn't wide enough and it was absolute chaos before and at half time to move around. If you were sat in those stands you would be better walking around to the east concourse which is much larger. I hope they make the concourses a bit more Everton as well.
I think the opposite, inside the ground is something else, outside the main gates isn’tMy opinion is outside the ground looks brilliant. Once inside its just like any other new stadium. Be hard for it to ever recreate the old lady atmosphere. Only hope it has is the extra supporters. Goodison was once the most up to date and best stadiums in the country. Then it went old and battered and now is iconic and again the best stadium in the prem.
I think I was on the bus before yours, we got to the official stop about 13.40. It’s put me off using it again to be honest unless the volume of traffic today was a one-off.I couldn't get to town as early for this game as the first one, but was still on the soccerbus from Liverpool One bus station for just after 1pm. Set off for BMD almost straight away. We were only just past the Liver Buildings after almost half an hour. Driver couldn't let us off to walk because we were in the middle lane. Eventually, we were able to get off nearer the start of Great Howard St and walked. There were far more cars than for the previous event. The junction near Costco was completely gridlocked. Nothing moving. The surrounding streets had lots of cars milling around looking for car parking options. Eventually got to turnstile at North Stand 16mins after KO, in our seats at 20mins. Lots of others running late too.
It was the opposite afterwards. Got Shuttle bus on Great Howard St after about 10mins wait.... it was very quick on to Liverpool One, where on-going bus was waiting. Looked like the vast majority walked into town. In the future I think I'll get train to the game, but bus back afterwards.
The half marathon traffic may not have helped ?I think I was on the bus before yours, we got to the official stop about 13.40. It’s put me off using it again to be honest unless the volume of traffic today was a one-off.
Tom...how much for a Monorail?I couldn't get to town as early for this game as the first one, but was still on the soccerbus from Liverpool One bus station for just after 1pm. She'd a tear when Sirens and Z cars started, not gonna lie!Couldn't speak at first. Totally gobsmacked
It's beautiful, just stunning![]()
It was choked slightly by Everton Way being fenced off too, not complete yet. Was worrying that they were wheeling disabled in opposition to the flow. But will all be ironed out in time, sure of it.Well my observations:
1. Had to tell the players to get off the pitch 2 times lol lol (adding that for fun)
2. The amount of exits in my section were 2 sets of double doors which didn't seem enough.
3.funelled by the dock wall getting out of the plaza..quite a bottle neck.
4. Stagging people going across the bridge due to weight restrictions.
Didn't seem good to me.. but I guess that's what these are for right?
