Aye, it'd be deemed a "firm but fair" challenge, with an "accidental" follow through with a bent leg indicating no malice.Clicked into this thinking it was about the Liverpool offside goal but no. 3 of the first 4 paragraphs dominated by "Tarkowski's horrible tackle" repeated over and over. Gave up reading it. No doubt if the tackle and the goal were the other way round I'd be reading something different

Yes and their goal should have been chalked off and jota sent off for applauding the linesman, but those incidents won’t even get a mention.Proper crying today aren't they!!
Tarkowski should have been sent off.. Jesus. Get over it!
Take the lucky win and be happy!
Slight problem with that, nothing embarrasses them at all mate.A bit embarrassing supporting a team that cost £680m to put together and having to log on to the forum of another team which has spent only £236m to celebrate after scraping past them with a dodgy goal.
Yes, he is.Is Moyes similarly ignorant of the rules, given his post-match interview claim that Diaz was offside? That'd surprise me.
But fiddle dee dee, as a practical matter the offside rule, like the rules around fouls and booking, are largely left to the ref's discretion and subject to the sort of human error, bias, and luck that help keep the game interesting. I still would've preferred a scoreless draw to a loss, though.
BBC demonising players and trying to influence refs again..The BBC bias never clearer than today. Online match report leads with a ‘red card poll’ on the Tarkowski tackle, and skims over Jota’s shenanigans, the lack of VAR scrutinizing their goal, contrasting with the instant VAR scrutiny of Beto. Mind you, apart from giving it a really good go from our perspective, it was satisfying in the extreme to see how [Poor language removed] Van Dijk was.
I really need you to tell me what to have as you seem to think you are some sort of expert on such things ,BTW I actually think the Derby does concern me.Got to enjoy the derby wins when you can Charley Chester, so no point being online debating things that don't need to concern you. Go and have yourself a midweek tipple of your choice![]()

Will be happy if we win the league again , did celebrate but at least no mass hysteria or pitch invasion for being 4th worse team or drawing 2 all.A bit embarrassing supporting a team that cost £680m to put together and having to log on to the forum of another team which has spent only £236m to celebrate after scraping past them with a dodgy goal.
I live in Liverpool and just had breakfast thanks , is it OK for me to go to work ?Well, it's 7:46am so if your UK based I'd say a cup of tea, coffee, juice (freshly squeezed) or a nice pint of ice cold water.
Always remember,at least you've woke up today an Evertonian!!!![]()
