Roberto Martinez discussion

The game should have been put to bed in the first half, we were quite wasteful but haven't been in previous games.

I doubt that wind helped either, it's almost impossible to judge the flight of a ball

We chose to sit back and invite them to attack. Very very wrong decision. And our sider players are knacked but no subs. McCarthy off and it was the duty of Besic/Gibson to replace him surely not a half fit Cleverley who isn't a DM.

He was our best player in the match and we lost a lot of energy and commitment in the middle when he went off. It was forced on him sadly and Cleverley wasn't up to it for his first game back. It happens.

It's not been a great game but Bournemouth deserve some credit and Martinez will no doubt reflect on it and think he could have done things differently but it's just one of them rare results that occur. If people really are using this result to affirm their opinions they're extremely stupid and insecure.
He was our best player but there is no way we should have drawn that game.
A lot of fans are still not sure about martinez and thats fair enough.
He still has to prove his worth this season and deserves that chance but he made mistakes today and struggles to change things when its all going wrong.
I don't know who is worse the fans that want him sacked or the fans that think he is a god.

Grow up.It's nothing to do with "plotting" - it is what it is, he was dreadful at managing the situation on the pitch today. Objectively.

Clear plotting there. Posters out in force who haven't been seen for a few weeks because we've been beaten.

I'm not defending him either, I said he was poor, said on Twitter it was awful too.

What's with the snide name calling because people aren't happy with the appalling management today?

No snide name calling, just what it is.

Stop being so entitled. No one has any right to win any game.

Man City drew 0-0 against Villa two weeks ago.

A draw away from home. That's us unbeaten again. Could have been better, could have been worse.

Just very very disappointing. We throw away a win. Poor me I though Ross had won us the game.

Poor show fella; I can feel the hate running through your veins and you're looking to lash out hahaha but as always avoiding the truth.

No hate here, pal. Just bemusement at the usual suspects popping up when there's a chance to have a dig at Everton's manager. Look mate,@davek made you look like a complete idiot last year, it happens. I got smacked down by Goat once, and it hurt. But you have to move past it, look at our solid start to the season, learn from last year's mistakes and not post knee-jerk garbage that will make you look stupid in a year. Last season's lessons obviously not learned Chris, very sad.

I don't think The Cleverley sub is what killed us as much as James having to go off. We just allowed Bournemouth to get confident (even with McCarthy in the game), and our effort dipped which allowed them to get some cheap goals.

We CANNOT play defensively like that if we aren't willing to put a shift in. Martinez's strength as a manager is playing on the counter and possessing the ball. We kept giving the ball away and didn't get any support to the attackers when we weren't screwing up.

Long story short- we kept putting an uninspired defense under pressure with crucial giveaways and lack of possession. We can't deviate from our stengths and expect to win every game.

Yeah that's the ticket straight to midtable. Don't get beat by the worst sides in the league, see of a few at home, honestly Moyes may as well be back. Nothing has changed.
The arrogance of this post. Unreal.

Nothing has changed...except all the things we agreed had changed before 5 o'clock today.

Stop whingeing. We lost two points. That's it.

Unbeaten in 5.

Moyes has gone. Get over it. Nothing has changed in over twenty years. Sick of this Moyes V Martinez stuff.
Do you compare Moyes to Smith? Smith to Kendall? Kendall to Royle?

Its boring. Hes gone. GET OVER IT

Because we are set up to hit teams on the counter; the cleverly sub was the wrong one, 100% wrong

We could have easily scored 5 before they got one, just the wrong ball was played
