Roberto Martinez discussion

No defeat for 5 games; scored 15.

Please point out the disaster here.

If you want display anger, show it to the ref for adding 3 minutes on when there was seconds left.
When martinez has a crap is it gold coloured.
Fans are not saying they want him sacked they are saying he made mistakes today which cost us.
If you can't see that you are troubled.

Martinez is solely to blame today.

McCarthy is off then he played Cleverley in DM ffs!? We need a DM who either break down their play/chasing the loose ball. You simply have to play Gibson there. Look at the third goal we conceded? WTF Cleverley was doing there? He bottled for making a 50/50 tackle!?

Kone and Del were knackered after 60 mins and Martinez decided to keep them on! When Cleverley cleared away the ball, both Del and Kone were walking around instead of chasing the ball cos they were tired...then they scored the first goal because no one near him i.e Kone and Del were arsed to put pressure.

We need a new keeper. I finally give up. I don't mind giving more chance to Robles. We definiately need to sign a new keeper next summer.

Galloway has been doing good lately but today he was bloody dreadful. Pretty weak in his physical side. It's time to have out Bainsy back.

What was Lennon doing before they scored the third goal? Day dreaming instead of tracking back?

What a disgraceful day...I thought Barkley won us the game. Why you lot ran onto the pitch? The game wasn't end yet and that cert ref gave them more added mins!
Think the decision to bring on Cleverley was to try and get us out of our half a bit quicker, when fit Tom can make some fast transitions. Agree Gibson may also have done that but he's equally match rusty, he's messed up in remarkably similar situations that Cleverley did in the past as well so personally don't think that was a particularly "wtf" decision.

Can't understand keeping both Kone and Deulofeu on though as both were clearly tired and that was impacting our breaks.

Unfortunately Baines didn't even make the bench, suggests he isn't either mentally/physically up to full speed yet.

If there was no pitch invasion then no more added mins.

But the players were dreadful they can't even defend for 40s. Wtf Lennon was doing there? Our right side were exposed when they crossed the ball in the end.

I know they were terrible. But result was salvageable right at the death, only to be thrown away yet again by the aforementioned farce.

That was absolutely the right decision and has been working terrifically well in recent weeks ffs. It's exactly how we've been beating teams so well.

The problem today is the players that were supposed to be offering us opportunities to break out were nowhere to be seen in the second half meaning the ball came back at us all second half which wasn't actually a major problem until the defence bottled it after Bournemouth scored that screamer to get their tails up.

That screamer...cos either Kone or Del were walking around instead chasing/putting pressure on their right back.

Cleverly hasn't played in how long. Think Gibson would have held the ball a bit better; even osman and dropping barlkey back

With cleverly not having played a competitive game in so long I thought it was the wrong decision because we were being over run

He's been fit for a while. Been on the bench at least a couple of times.

Cleverley was obviously thrown on to basically do what McCarthy had been doing. He's very similar in style when played there.

I personally don't think that sub had much of an effect on how things went there.

You've been against Martinez even before he left Wigan to manage us. It was noted.

We've done ok this season. Very well in fact. Then you stopped posting. We see a lead slip in the last seconds today, and you reappear. I think others see that, tbh.

Dave i have been posting, just not as regular as last season. I have other priorities than a forum mate

He made mistakes today. Assuming he learns from them then we"ll end up better long term.

Two points dropped from that position is very poor and a fair amount of the blame sits with the manager. Could have been worse like though, arguably Bournemouth did enough second half to win it.

The game against Boro's more important than today though really. He now needs to make sure that heads don't drop and we get a result at the Riverside.
