Roberto Martinez discussion

So did Djemba-Djemba. He also played for Villa last year, and now he plays for us. Got to be worth at least 20 million. At least.

The lack of any quality in central midfield seems to be ignored by too many people. McCarthy exists to fill the holes left by Barry so it just about holds together when both are playing well. By this I mean we just about shared possession with one of the worst sides in the league in the first half. In the second half it just got away from us completely. There is no one in the middle who can control the game yet people bang on as though Barry McCarthy Cleverley are some of the league's best. Different shades of average. Arteta and Gibson were the last midfielders we had who could dictate tempo and stop stupid situations like that second half happening.

He made mistakes today. Assuming he learns from them then we"ll end up better long term.

Two points dropped from that position is very poor and a fair amount of the blame sits with the manager. Could have been worse like though, arguably Bournemouth did enough second half to win it.

The game against Boro's more important than today though really. He now needs to make sure that heads don't drop and we get a result at the Riverside.
The entitlement is nauseating though.

Congratulations to Bournemouth. They showed great character...aided by a loony ref who added bizarre amounts of time.

No easy wins in this league. None whatsoever.

We had numerous breaks in the second half mate, we were just far to deep. But the game should have been dead and buried in the first half which was the disappointing part

Most of the breaks were the result of misplace passes rather than winning it back. I'm ok with falling deep, but falling deep with no attempt to deny space or win the ball back is suicidal football.
