Roberto Martinez discussion

I am not saying the substitution was owt to with the final goal but I have to ask what the heck rhe point of it was.

That celebration after our third, understandable as it was, showed exactly why we need our captain on the field.

Jags remained coolness personified when he equalised at The Pit last year, knowing that 100% concentration was needed.

As for the fans invading the pitch.....again, an understandable reaction but thanks, lids......all's you did was force the ref to add more time on at the end, giving them the time to equalise

I feel as bad now as I do when we have lost.

There is nothing worse than failing to win a game we should have won at a canter.

At least it ain't boring!

I'm assessing this season once we are at the halfway point. If we're in a European challenging place and the semi final of the league cup then we're doing well.

The entitlement is nauseating though.

Congratulations to Bournemouth. They showed great character...aided by a loony ref who added bizarre amounts of time.

No easy wins in this league. None whatsoever.

Overconfidence and, if we're honest, arrogance in believing we could sit back and Bournemouth cost us today. Excrement happens sometimes though.

It'll all be forgiven if we beat Boro on Tuesday though.

10 games gone and people said we now have done the hard games its time to beat these lesser teams and we will move up the table. We failed to beat Bournemouth with 2 goals in hand. It might not be as easy as we first thought.

Stupid from the fans, they should have been thinking about the possibility that Bournemouth would score in the 12 seconds of time that remained.

Dread to think what he said to them at half time. They didn't turn up in the second half. Hope he gave them an absolute rollicking at full time, and uses the 'remember the Bournemouth game' speech if we're ever 2-0 up at half time again.

That's it in a nutshell mate. The same youth and inexperience makes us bloody exciting to watch, but the second half today is the other side of the coin.

We have this excuse for everything though, the same behaviour has been happening for ten years whether it's Jags and Distin or Stones and Mori. Kone Barry Coleman and Howard are not inexperienced or young yet you can point to errors in all of them for the goals. It's just the collective Everton mentality. Martinez may have tried to change it but he hasn't. We did it at home to Palace in his first season, away at Kiev in his second, countless times under the previous manager. When Everton get close to touching success we malfunction.

I must confess I haven't seen yuu post on matchday when we've been getting the results.

Not every game. Like I said towards the end of our winter argument last year, I was prepared to give him to Christmas this year.

I haven't mentioned anything negative about him today, or any other time this season (Watford apart). I even posted positive after the arsenal and west hame game when others weren't happy.
