It was only 5 or 6yrs, but what a time to be young and fancy free.

My outstanding memory from their era was watching us thrash Chelsea 5-2 back in 1970, with Howard Kendall scoring , a relatively rare event! Think Chelsea were 3rd at the time, Ball was brilliant and we virtually clinched the league that day as Leeds , 2nd, lost. When will we see their likes again? Never, different era , still got the memories though.

Alright for some. In 50 years time I'll have the axis of doom of Neville, Hibbert and Osman fresh in my mind.

Up against a really great Leeds team that year as well, they beat us 2-1 with a goal that never crossed the line. We beat them 3-2 at Goodison in an absolute classic. Yeah the 5-2 stands out, think Bonetti was in goal that day as well.
Probably my favourite ever year for football, we won the league, the 1970 World cup, ( best ever world cup imo ) and all watched on our families first ever colour television. Ah those were the days......

Good point and obviously a great team but if you saw the 70 side, the sheer quality of that team may prejudice your view. But the three you mention are a fine choice..more proper EFC legends...not like the crap we have endured for at least 10 years.
