Apparently Thepchaiya In Nooh, who plays Ronnie O'Sullivan, was averaging 14 seconds a shot in his qualifying match last night, should be a cracking game.
Let the coughing commence.

Probably the toughest draw Ronnie could have got first game.
Looking forward to the tournament though. Crowds not a big issue in snooker.

A lot of names especially in the bottom draw I've never heard of possibly some upsets in the pipeline from the newcomers? would be good if that was the case, snooker could do with some new blood especially if they were flamboyant.

I was hopeless at snooker, but I enjoy watching a good game.

I don't think there was any other sport in the 70s/80s to rival it, just for the sheer amount of characters it produced.

It was absolutely made for TV in the 80s.

It's all a bit sterile now, apart from O'Sullivan.

I have deferred my tickets for next years tournament.
Sounded like a ball ache going to watch with the restrictions they have put in place.

So glad I did this. Was supposed to be there today and crowd been jibbed off. Would have been fuming !!

Have they been kicked out? Said on the news earlier that this was going to be from tomorrow and people who had tickets tonight would be allowed in.
Hearne said as soon as it was announced he phoned a cabinet member and they said fans were not allowed, even just 300 of them.
I got the impression it was immediate, but you may be right.

Find out in 20 mins.

Seems like an absolute shambles from the government. Were they even aware a crowd were actually watching the event when they made the announcement?

And surely people should be allowed to go if they want. No one was being forced.

I would have been sat behind Stuart Bingham this morning and would have got kicked out by stewards for calling him a cheat, and I can’t stand the fella. So it’s turned out ok for me.

Crowd in this afternoon and this evening they have now said.
None from tomorrow.
I bet fans with train tickets and hotels booked will be left out of pocket.
