Could see him being the new Jagielka. Comes from a relegated team and is versatile but eventually settles down as a great and pacy central defender.

How much did we deem too much for gabriel? Bit weird we're spending more on Godfrey, id understand if we rated him higher, but we'd have gone for him first if we did?

I think we cooled on Gabriel when we all thought the world was ending with Covid. It's a different situation now.

I remember reading about his work with the homeless. I’ve just had a quick look then, he has a charity called loaves and fishes that provides Christmas dinners to the homeless

Defense proving to be in more need of help tbh. Conceding some crap goals and Digne needs rest. Could see this kid pushing Holgate. And the more CBs the better if Everton want to compete across more than one competition.

From what I can see this fella brings one thing that is missing in all our central defenders and that's raw pace, the kind of pace that can get you out of the doo doo when required.
