Ours should have? Or more to the point, the DOF should have.

These financial circumstances will have been projected by the financial guys at least in January and Brands should have been contingency planning based on whatever circumstances are applied at the time.
That’s a very good point and one that has been overlooked I think. Carlo was very confident of available funds and even Benitez seemed to think there were a few more coming in.

Either we didn’t see this coming - which would be mental even for us - or we had been banking on a big sale, which could only really have been Richy, DCL or maybe Digne.

He's fixed nothing and added to our problems.

The majority are finally waking up to what a poor job he has done. You will too soon enough.
The fact of the matter is the transfers/managers have been a real …. Show Since Farhad took over. Brands isn’t blameless but a lot of the problems started before he arrived, big contracts for average players that we been lumbered with and unable to get rid off of for money, Sandro/Scnides/Bolasie/Besic

This feels like a reset, complete change of policy for at least a season. This is why we have Benitez, because he'll be able to keep us in the league. We won't see a last minute Iwobi as we have previously, buying desperate is not a good way to buy
It is looking like it's making sense why we brought him in and perhaps why he was one of the few that appeared interested in the job.

Hahaha in the real business world where you get paid millions of dollars to do your job, no one cares about whether you “tried your best and made offers”, we’ve gone 4 years without signing a right back and if we need to shift one or both of our current ones then it should get done within a 3 month transfer window
We did sign Sidebe on loan, but Carlo shoes not to follow through. We replacedctge midfield by signing Allan, Doucoure and Rodriduez plus CB with Godfrey.
