Its not bedwetting when we have won 1 in 6(7 QPR) and lost 3 on the bounce and capitulated in one of those games, last night 1st half was abysmal and West Ham was no better.

You can keep using the platitudes to deride his detractors, but the facts are we are a very poor team led by a has been manager who has done nothing in recent Prem history that merits your or anyone else lauding him constantly!
Completely agree. There are those who say we should get behind the manager but I think the pro - Benitez faction are now doing far more damage to morale by backing this busted flush to the hilt.

It is though!

Potter/Brighton have won 1 in 6
Frank/Brentford have won 1 in 5

Neither have had the injury problems we've had to key players

DCL
Richarlison
Doucoure
Mina

Those 4 simply can not be replaced with our current squad and Godfrey is a shell of the player he was (COVID).

Fans just need patience and to accept what we at present - a midtable club that goes on bad runs of form.

Forget looking at the likes of Chelsea/Leicester/RS winning 5 out of 6 we aint that level nowhere near and neither will we be with a new manager.

Its not being a happy clapper its looking at the last 6-7 seasons and seeing a pattern with these players.

Yes the manager has made mistakes so far but every manager does there is no white knight / silver bullet that turns everything perfect overnight and we need to get out of the sack sack sack mentality especially when we are cash strapped FFP speaking to back a new manager adequately enough.

If you want to see positive change sack Marcel Brands / remove Kenwright and thats a start.

One thing I'll always say about a manager getting it wrong to start but then correcting it as the game goes on is that sometimes the correction overrides the original mistake and the manager ends in credit once the game is over

It's the same when it's the other way around too

It never seems to play out that way when it comes to post-match discussion though

Football supporters are very quick to bash a manager when he makes a mistake in a game after a good start, but they always seem reticent to give a manager credit when he starts a game badly but then makes changes to correct that

It's a weird trait in all honesty
It was embarrassing listening to Karen Carney figuring out in 5 minutes what it took Benitez a 2 goal deficit to sort out. Her and the commentator said Lage had picked a team to get in between the lines of our rigid 4-4-2 and that once it had started working we needed to change to counteract this. The players clearly didn't know what to do and were arguing with each other. The manager could surely see this, and should have acted straight away, especially after the let-off of the disallowed goal. I've been a defender of Benitez to an extent, but we need a manager who can see what's going on and adjust quickly. Not that we've had one of those for a long time!

The first half was everything I don’t want Everton to be. Negative, Rigid, Slow, Passive.

If we somehow hadn’t conceded those goals then Benitez would have been happy with it too.

Moshiri Will give him time...We are mid table this moment. Not even relegation danger at this moment
Spurs
City
Brentford
RS
Arsenal

that’s our next 5 . I don’t think we’re in a relegation battle but I also don’t see too many points coming from those games either . So realistically we could find ourselves right down the table by early December. Fortunately you’d hope players will be starting to return from injury but again to put that down to as the solution to all our problems feels a bit like we’re kidding ourselves .

We'll probably be down there once Christmas rolls around tbf

Spurs, City, Brentford, Liverpool and Arsenal all next

Could easily lose all of those with our current squad issues

Hopefully though we get the full squad back and sign a couple of loanees in January, at which point we can grind our way to 40 points and then have as big a rebuild as we can possibly afford to do in the summer

Our form is appalling. He has to go immediately.

It all weirdly can be traced back to that ridiculous decision to rest players in the cup. We lost all momentum and the season has unravelled. We've barely played any good teams yet!!

You would have been screaming for a top manager like Ancelotti to go, so why are you backing this mediocre manager so strongly?

He did change it though, but he's getting zero credit for it, which is kind of my point

If that Gordon header goes in then it's 2-2 and we nick a point. At what point does the change make up for the bad start?

With football supporters the answer seems to be "never" based on how we talk on here

This isn't even a thing unique to Benitez either

All of our previous managers dealt with it as well
