The striker situation is a difficult one. If DCL is fit he is a very good front man, which would mean we only need a backup option. The problem is he is injured most of the time. And it's far from ideal to use the "backup" option more then the first choice. But signing a topstriker costs a lot of money. Money we could (and should) spend on other positions in the squad. We need the midfield sorted with players who can actually hold and pass the ball. Those players don't come cheap as well. Considering our FFP position we probably won't be able to get everything we want. But we surely cannot afford to play half the season with half a striker...
We don't need a back up option we need two forwards who can start games mate. One who can play wide and get goals too that's what Richy was doing. The idea you just have one first team forward doesn't work anymore.

Sorry, we need two strikers, or a striker and wide player who can score goals. All this talk about back ups - DCL is NOT good enough.....and is certainly NEVER going to stay fit for more than 3/4 of a season!
 


Should have given Simms a chance instead of loaning him out again. What would there have been to lose given the circumstances?
