Benitez is a fat whopper

TBF he helped us (Chelsea) win the Europa League and get 3rd in the league when he was interim manager, so that could be construed as a job well done, especially as our lot hated him almost as much as you lot do/did…
Played against awful teams in uefa cup though, I barely even count that role as he didn't have enough time to cause his usual level of damage

Yeah but the fact remains they were signed on his watch, Brands deserves no credit for anything.
Brands bricked about half his signings, which is pretty typical for a DoF. His performance was average. How much of that was dictated by the execution of a bankrupt overall strategy, and how much of that strategy originated with Moshiri, is unclear.

By contrast, Walsh and Koeman were catastrophic. The only real redeeming facet of their tenure is the DCL and Gueye buys. At what they paid for Pickford in that market, he should be expected to work out.

Wasn’t he supposed to have all these top job offers lined up?
I think he spent his resurrection credits in the Super League.

To his credit, he was way out in front of COVID. He is no dummy. I suspect that there is a Prem club out there that could be happy with him in the short term.

I wouldn't say Chelsea fans hated him almost as much as us. I didn't see any Chelsea fans polishing the lamp posts outside their ground so they'd look good in the photos with an xxl neck sized noose hanging from them.

Won’t work in the Prem again unless it’s some real desperate team like Newcastle.
