Needed the money and Thelwell doesn't want to keep academy players who are 50/50 cutting it and keeping them on longer than they should.
Simms is a better finisher than Dom. Probably would've got 5 or 6 for this season.
Always remember his goal away at Chelsea - the commentator- he's a typical Dyche play just what Everton need in the future...

People go on about how certain players get mismanaged but we had a striker who scored goals everywhere he went and only ever started 3 games for us, at Old Trafford, Anfield and Stamford Bridge. Then we went and spent 55 million on other strikers who have also done nothing. Would he have been good enough to be our number 9? Probably not, but he was never given a chance.
