I joined a Twitter space run by ToffeeBluecast last night and there was a blue who regularly talks on them who said he sits just behind Tarkowski’s brother at the game. He said that Tarkowski really is not enjoying it and was close to joining Newcastle in August. Apparently he will push to leave again in the summer.

It may be all lies but the Patterson incident in Portugal, the general apathy of the team, it suggests there is more bubbling under the surface we don’t know about.
As I said recently, it does look like the players have stopped playing for the manager. The intensity and togetherness has dropped off completely

He changed how Brighton played with virtually the same squad, I’m not saying we have world beating Technical footballers. But is this group only good enough for 20% at home to Villa or 30% away at Fulham. And plenty of other examples over the season.

These players are good enough to play more football.
Yep! A decent manager gets the team playing better - simple logic but undeniably true

I really haven't got a clue. I feel like we need stability, the squad is a Frankenstein's monster of players, because we have had so many managers, trying to play different "styles" and we still have too many players who are on good money and either cant play (crocked) or wont play because the manager doesn't like them.

I can understand people wanting Potter. But how many players would fit his style? what if any money can we spend in the summer? If we sell Brathwaite and Onana and we have Gomes and Dele off the wage bill? Is it enough to reshape the squad?

We still need a RB and RW (which we have needed for seasons) we need a CAM or SS and that's before you even get to upgrading the players who are not good enough and replace those 4 who are probably leaving.

If we got Potter in then instantly Pickford, Branthwaite, Onana and Garner would benefit. Thats the core spine of the team and I would think Patterson and McNeil would improve as well with the ball being played on the deck.

Thats 6/11 players and id be confident DCL would step up as well as Beto if the chance creation was similar to Brightons.

His style suits underdogs i think and we need that.

No, McNeil is too direct for Potter.

Time to get rid of DCL this summer.

IF 777 were to sack Dyche we’d be leaving looking at out of work managers, or those available for next to nothing.
They would have to be desperate to take over here with no money to spend and a squad who specialise the n download no tools and getting managers sacked.
Would probably my money on Big Dunc coming back.
