2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

He is improving and I know most of the fanbase is thrilled with him at the moment but he's one of them players I find very frustrating to watch. Don't know how an attacking player desperate to score can miss that chance he had.

I understand a lack of confidence can affect players, but he has to be scoring that. He's a professional footballer.

I do think Moyes seems to find a way of making certain players better though so hoping Moyes can give him he confidence he needs.
The chance he missed is just a great example of how confidence/results affect how you see things. Missing that chance at 3-0 got him a big round of applause for looking like he cared, missing it at 0-0 would have seen him getting dogs abuse. He needs to do more for me, he’s been like an average PL player for the last few weeks, there’s no way I’d be paying £20M for him until he starts actually affecting games not just putting a decent shift in. I think he’s capable of it but he needs to do it, and regularly.

You answered your own question mate, because he's desperate to score is why he did miss it, once one goes in the pressure comes right off him

Just a matter of time imo

For me mate he's integral to the way we are playing, moment he comes off you notice a big dropoff in our ability to get forwards.

What is say is I want to see him being able to last the full 90 at the same intensity level, think he can as he's growing by the game.

If he improves more and we could negotiate on the price to between £10-15m he might be a good option next season, but I still want a starting winger who is rapid and scores goals.

Don't think his pace is an issue actually, think he's probably the fastest player in the starting 11 currently. We do need more pace in general though especially off the bench.

5 mil signing in today's money though isn't it if you know what I mean? Still got the rest of the season to prove himself.
Less than Leeds are asking for Gnoto, half of what Minteh went for, around the same as the villa lad has gone twice for this season.

20m right now buys you a talented prospect from the championship, Lindstrom is way more proven and starting to show that now.

19m a very fair deal we won't regret

He's shown what he's capable of under Moyes after being misstreated by Dyche, but I'd still be wanting to see consistency for the rest of the season. I've really enjoyed seeing him enjoy his football.

Yup I think the end product is there, he just needs one to go in now even if it's a total fluke as you can see he's putting pressure on himself over it. Does that and a wright goes off him.

Can't knock his character either, seems at the heart of what appears to be a great team spirit building.
