Players out on loan 2024/25

I think one of his strengths is that when he receives a pass he has good awareness of those around him and what he will do next - let the ball run across him, turn the right way etc, he often creates his own space. He's been good at it at u18/21 level where pitches are usually smaller and the activity is more frenetic. So far he’s carrying that on into the Championship, and looking good, some of those passes shown in the clip are a reminder as to how well he worked with Beto, placing carefully weighted balls into the right area.

Some really good highlights in that video. He's got good control and pass weight plus he's got some physicality that I like. I could see him picking up a lot of yellows if he plays in the first team next season. Trying not to get too excited about his potential.
It's the music that floored me. Such a peculiar choice. Seems to like to move the ball quickly - and it seems he's trusted very soon by his fellow team mates, because they can cycle the ball to him and he's not flapping under pressure.

Scored a good volley yesterday

Another win, 90 minutes and a first goal for Harrison Armstrong as Derby won 3-2 at Plymouth. The Derby Telegraph said "Opened his account in some style for Derby with a brilliant volley to put the Rams 2-0 up. Strong in the tackle and has a big future ahead of him. 7.5/10".

A full match for Mason Holgate as WBA drew 1-1 with Hull.

A 2-1 home defeat for Harry Tyrer's Blackpool at home to Orient. According to the Gazette, "Could have been more proactive coming off his line for the goals but ultimately they came down to poor defending ahead of him. 6/10".

Billy Crellin's Accrington drew 1-1 with Gillingham.

Francis Okoronkwo was subbed off on 70 minutes for Salford with the game scoreless v Grimsby. His team eventually won 1-0.

A win too for Jenson Metcalfe whose Chesterfield won 2-1 at Notts County. He played the full game.

Eli Campbell played the whole match for Ross County but they lost 2-0 at Hearts.

Finally, all the loans seem to be working out well. Everyone starting matches and getting plenty of minutes.

A little late but happy for him. This is exactly why he should be on loan. Looks to be making them a better team and he is having an impact and playing well. You want him to force his way into the side and prove he can make it. The more playing time he gets, the more experience he gets, the higher his price tag may get and the more chance he will be prepared for first team footy.

Some loanees in action despite the International Break.

That's 3 clean sheets in the last 5 matches for Harry Tyrer now after Blackpool won 2-0 at Northampton. Blackpool are up to 10th but 7 points off the play off places. An impressive 8 out of 10 from the Gazette: "Despite having nothing too challenging to deal with, he looked full of confidence when he was called into action." Great to hear.

A third consecutive start for Jenson Metcalfe as Chesterfield drew 0-0 at home to Harrogate. He was subbed off after 88 minutes. Chesterfield are a comfortable 11th and also 7 points off the play offs (in League Two).

A clean sheet too for Billy Crellin. Accrington had a scoreless draw away to Swindon. Accrington are in 20th but a good 11 points clear of relegation.
