The way I look at it is Diaz wasn't even attempting to play the ball and Tarks unknowingly of course did his job of blocking the pass off then we know what happened. Possible interfering with play amybe but unsure

You see tarks reach out to Diaz, he knows he's there he's marking him & if Diaz wasn't there he just clears it

Moyes as straight said it's offside in his post match anyway

I agree with what your saying there but in recent years they do seem to be fairly consistent on this kind of decision

We haven’t scored an equalising goal in front of fans there since Rooney’s penalty in 2017. We haven’t taken the lead in front of fans there since Beckford put us 2-1 up in 2011.

Robbie Mustoe and Tim Howard both said it wasn't interference because Diaz didn't actually make contact with Tarkowski. Seems a bit arbitrary but hey ho.

He doesn't have to, him being there causes tarkowski to react....

This is my thoughts. The initial pass was to an offside player, if tarks knew that then he could simply let the ball go. He didn't so he blocks the pass. That to me is a very possible interference

I’m choosing to see it as an off night, the positives to take are we weren’t out the game at any point and we got another injured player back in Ndaiye so the squad is getting stronger personnel wise going into the run in

It may have been an off night but losing derbies is never good. Its almost like the players realised they were well in the game and then the pressure got to them.

Mentality has to change at stockley park and osterley too, but it won't. Can't have all the Akiras and Ryus being denied an airlift victory thousands of miles away can we?

We need better attacking players but we also need more belief as a club. The players didn't look like they really believed they could win. And there was no reason not to get a result. We were well in the game and they aren't that good if you can keep Salah quiet.

Our defense is good enough to be honest taking a goal against them isn't the worst. Happens to 95% of teams. But you can outscore them which is something we just don't have.
