First game of the season. I was in the Clock end. He also scored in the next game away at Man Utd in mid week - 2-0 win. Managed to get to every game that season and we won the League! I was also at the Youth Cup Final game at Goodison against Arsenal in '65. RIP Hursty. X
So was I, aged 10 - well, that was until the final whistle and my first 'over the wall' and on the pitch moment with the players eventually reappearing in the Directors Box up above the Goodison Road terracing. A great day!
