How knowledgeable is the Goodison crowd?

A lot of the Goodison crowd clapped Bill when he appeared on the screen. A lot of the Goodison crowd abused those who warned we were heading down a very dark road. Mocking them and seemingly happy with how things were. Those fans now have the club they desired. It's too easy to pin everything...

    Dyche out Moyes in.

Is there another club that lives in the past and completely rewrites it that any manager/player that leaves is suddenly talked about as a great, despite the Goodison crowd hating them during their time. Mirallas is always talked about like we all loved him and he was incredible. He got abuse...

    2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

So by that logic, everyone should be off Keane's back, as defenders make mistakes. It's been a funny read on this forum, people slagged off Keane, when he did nothing wrong last night. Yet everyone is putting an arm round Lindstrom who missed 2 chances to win us the game. Many even trying to...

The pope can't help us. Jesus could come back and it would be a miracle too far for him to fix.

Concepts and rules you think would improve football going forward...

Because you are also off the pitch. Your team is now down to 10 men against 10 men City. It doesn't benefit you in any way.

Match Thread Aston Villa 3-2 Everton. Saturday 14th September 17:30

Last season our start was: Lost 1-0 to Fulham Lost 4-0 to Villa Lost 1-0 to Wolves. We then battled for a 2-2 draw with the mighty Sheff United and then lost 1-0 to Arsenal. We finished 22 points from relegation (without the points deduction) So why would he lose his job for losing to...

Why would it encourage more? If the player fouled is faking it, why would he want to go off with the physio, just to ensure the person who fouled him does too? It means both are down to 10. It does, but not really. Just let them stand on the edge of the box. It looks cleaner and I like neat lines.

Concepts and rules you think would improve football going forward...

If a player injures another player and the physio comes on, the player who committed the foul must go off the pitch too. Get rid of the D on the edge of each box, it does nothing. Throw in's can be done however you like, 1 arm hurling it in. No seeding in any competition. Punish defenders...

Match Thread Aston Villa 3-2 Everton. Saturday 14th September 17:30

Serious question, the general vibe in here seems to be "we should win, but we won't because of Dyche" If you were a neutral watching, why would you expect the team that finished 4th (on 68 points), to lose at home to the team that finished 15th (on 40 points)

I still can't believe he told the players to let them freely cross and don't mark the players and win the headers too. Terrible idea looking back.

How do we ‘fix’ the relationship between fans and the club?

I'm going to say something that a lot of you won't agree with and will hate... We all know how badly the club has been run into the ground, on and off the pitch. It's depressing. It's tiring. It's frustrating. BUT I'm sick of hearing "we'll get behind them when they give us something to cheer...

Out of interest, what players should've played instead? I'm not a fan of those 3, but I don't remember us having Salah and De Bruyne on the bench last season?

    Match Thread Everton 0-3 Brighton - Sat 17 Aug 2024 - Kick Off: 15:00

It's a large group of cowards and losers mainly. It's been the same ones under numerous managers. The sooner we bed in the new players, the better. I'm weirdly optimistic for the season. Replace Young, Keane and Doucoure and I think we see a completely different team. I'm just hoping Ndiaye can...

That's so sad. I'm genuinely sad that that's all you take away from Goodison. I've got so many happy memories there. Both on and off the pitch. The laughs I've had with friends and family. The feeling of seeing Goodison every season. It's special. Loads of goals and moments on the pitch too...

    Other clubs Transfer window 2024-2025

What even is this as an argument? So what? I'm looking at the league table and it looks like they finished 3rd. 7 points behind 2nd and 9 points behind 1st. Do they get to use those extra shots as points or something? That's honestly the maddest stat I've seen someone use.

    Pre season.

Because it didn't happen. They've been trying to get AI to create clips of the goals, but it can't compute that Beto and Maupay have both scored goals.
