    Salford v Everton - Saturday 27th July 2024 - 3pm

My daughter's were playing footy with a little lad at Butlins who claimed to play for Liverpool u11s, he was pretty decent tbf. He was dismissive of Everton u11s, particularly when he said, "they're (Everton u11s) not even our rivals, it's West Ham an Man City".

    VAR

I don't agree with his view as It wouldn't bring any advantage. Defenders wouldn't chance catching players offside if this became the rule. It would make attempting to hold a line redundant on set pieces. I think such a significant change would make me like the general game (watching other non...

    Players out on loan 2023/24

He played well, very assured given the pressure in the game. I go the odd Farsley Celtic game as they're local to me. Saturday was great, £23 for me and 3 kids. Missus daughter is a goalie at Leeds Utd an she was made up having a photo an a little chat with him at the end. Should probably have...

I guess in the case of football fans, some are more equal than others. Can't punish the fans...

    Today's Football - 2023/2024 Season

Unbelievable that the foul on Sanchez wasn't given as a pen. Or even ref asked to review. Howard Webb must feel like giving up, if fans can see blatant fouls and so called VAR refs deem it not a clear an obvious error then it's not worth having.

    Today's Football - 2023/2024 Season

No force in the challenge though. I remember this being the key to fouls like that not being a red. Unless that only applies to Liverpool players committing red card fouls on Everton players

ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Luis Diaz refunding fans who have already bought his shirt, due to the club allocating him a different shirt number ... And the dopes lap it up. Given the volume of fake tickets they're able to knock up, he might want to keep an eye on his next months paypacket too.

ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Guardiola is fantastic, no disputing that. But the Bayern team he took over had just won't the champions league and blown Barca away in the semi finals. I think that team was ready made to go on an win it again as they were brilliant.

    Ivan Toney

You w You weren't. Addiction is awful, I'm cynical about Toneys apparent addiction and don't buy it. Agree I don't know the full facts, though I wouldn't be taking him on his word either. It seems to be the done thing to say you suffer from 'x' now as reason for 'y' behaviour. Either way, I...

Ok I can handle being harsh. There are gambling addicts that don't have his money that don't have the luxury to keep on gambling. My brother lost his missus house, it wasn't even his to lose. It's a horrible thing. To continue to gamble an make the distinction he's not betting on football...

Because he's still betting. I don't personally see that as making an effort. Or one of any real substance.

    Ivan Toney

He's got a gambling problem and is seeking help. I find the comments about what he's doing and the leniency that's followed a bit of a joke. He's not betting on football anymore, but still betting on other sports. Do me a favour Ivan, he's not trying at all with any apparent gambling addiction...

    Ivan Toney

I was the same reading it. Can't believe he hasn't got a lifetime ban. Or a 2 season one which would potentially effectively finish him.

    2022/23 James Garner

I agree, though not about rating Walcott! Garner is a different type of signing to those two. Not that it matters much if a player performs, but I'd be keen to see more signings with his type of profile.

    2022/23 James Garner

He has done well. He's shown promise and probably is one of the more talented players in our squad. It's not elevating him to a superstar, but it's recognizing when someone has the potential to be more than the general dross/end of life around him. He's the type of signing we should be making...

ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Tbf this is also a brilliant outcome from today's game. He looked lost when he was in a battle. He's not intelligent enough to make space for himself. But when Liverpool dominated the ball, he had a few good moments. He is exceptional with his passing, but he needs the above to be in his favour...

ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The best thing to happen out of all this would be for the linesman to be punished. Robertson will forever be seen for the snide he is by all refs. He's the archetypal jovial lad when things are going Liverpool's way, but cannot stand it when he's being mugged off. I loved it. I can't stand him...

    2022/23 Tom Davies

To be fair, I was almost proud of him for that foul. He normally loses it pathetically an the other team create a big chance or score. At least he acted to stop it immediately. But yeah, he's rubbish, like we all know.

This didn't last long did it ha trust an off the field matter of claimed corruption by one of their rivals being the trigger to raising their collective heads.
